The entire hot spring hotel is dedicated
to providing a soothing atmosphere
that it invites you to soak in.
Various considerations have been made
to ensure that all guests can enjoy themselves while placing importance
on relaxation as a hot spring hotel.
Facility Guide
Lounge
Gekka no Sakura, inviting in travelers
Upon entering the hotel, guests are first greeted in the lobby lounge by Gekka no Sakura (cherry blossoms under the moon) shining in seven different colors illuminated by the moonlight. The overwhelming beauty of the cherry blossoms enchants and soothes travelers. We invite you to enjoy a cup of coffee or flavored tea amidst this special ambiance.
Bar
Mature soothing with Japanese whiskey
Gekka no Sakura Lounge & Bar, which opens in the evening, welcomes you with a wide selection of rare Japanese whiskeys.
Enjoy mature sensibilities surrounded by bottles of Japan’s best whiskeys lining the bar counter and the image of cherry blossoms illuminated by the moonlight.
Onsen
Care for your heart and soul in the hotel’s own spring water
The Bisui Spring is a new source of water. This spring, which is unique to Kamisuwa Onsen Shinyu, produces 50 tons of rich, pale jade-colored spring water per day at a temperature of 60℃. This high-quality spring water smooths and balances your skin.
Private Restaurant
Enjoy gourmet food in a private room
You can leisurely enjoy both breakfast and dinner at the private restaurant “Miko.” The interior is designed with a calm, warm, orthodox atmosphere. Seating can be arranged in chairs or on tatami mats, and the private rooms are spacious enough to accommodate a wheelchair.
Private Souvenir
A wide selection of Shinyu original products
In addition to food items such as miso and agar, which are unique to Shinshu, the leading area in Japan for health and longevity, we also offer an assortment of Shinyu-selected small and stylish accessories that are not available at any other shop, such as antique dishes and the small Kutani ware dishes used when serving breakfast at the hotel. There are a variety of other items available to make your trip more memorable, such as the original shichimi spice served at the private restaurant Miko, the pickles served at the pickle buffet, and original sweets made from agar, a local specialty. Please try to find your favorite item at the hotel!

Universal Design
The joy of travel for everybody
We incorporate universal design facilities to accommodate a wide range of guests. We offer a wheelchair-accessible private onsen bath, a multipurpose restroom for wheelchair users and guests who have had stoma surgery, private dining rooms spacious enough to accommodate wheelchairs, and handrails in the corridors. We also have universal design-compliant guest rooms available.
Interior Art
The aesthetics of Shinyu
We value offering the relaxation of a traditional inn while preserving the functionality of a hotel. We asked Russian ink painter Alexandra to create ink paintings of Suwa’s natural environment, and further combined the elements depicted in the art to create unique sliding doors, wallpaper, and panels to furnish the entire hotel. In addition, to commemorate the fact that the Suwa area had been the starting point of the Silk Road in Japan since the Meiji period (1868-1912), we have arranged cocoon art flowers in locations throughout the hotel.
